Norman Romanesque chancel arch capital of the church of St Peters, Rowlstone, Herefordshire, England. The relief sculptures are attributed to the Herefordshire School of stonemasons. The style draws upon Anglo-Saxon and celtic designs. The capital depicts a bird in decorative foliage, two angels one of which is holding a book are shown upside down, possible a reference to how St Peter, to whom the church is dedicated, was crucified. .
