Greek sculptures heavily influenced the Romans who made many copies of original Greek sculptures. Many of the original Greek sculptures have been lost and examples of this earlier work can only be seen in later Roman copies. Original Ancient Greek sculptures are rarer than later copies and probably only exists because they were so highly prised by the Romans.
